Daily Exercise “The glory of young men is their strength... " (Proverbs 20:29).
Walking is the finest exercise possible. A brisk walk in the open air will invigorate the entire system, causing a full and healthful circulation of the blood. This natural stimulation will prove a safeguard against the common cold and flu, coughs, congestion of lungs and brain, sluggishness of the liver, kidneys, lymph system and bowels, inflammation of the lungs, and many other diseases. Another excellent form of uplifting exercise is working in the vegetable garden and cultivating flowers. This will add strength and health not only to the muscles, but to the nerves as well. God chose outdoor gardening work as an invaluable aid for Adam and Eve’s physical strength and health as well as their mental development. (See Genesis 2:8-15). The more closely we follow God’s original plan for men and women, the more surely we will have an aid for the preservation and recovery of health.
